Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise & Sport Science, starting 8/23/2027 (with potential January 2027 start). We welcome candidates with expertise in Athletic Training and Kinesiology/Exercise Science and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advising students, maintaining currency in the discipline, and engaging in scholarly

Qualifications

• Doctorate in athletic training, sports medicine, or kinesiology/exercise science by end of first academic year.
• Evidence of ability to be an effective instructor.
• Evidence of clear and effective communication skills.
• Current BOC certification, WI licensure (or eligible), and an NPI number.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses as assigned.
• Advise students and maintain currency in the content area.
• Provide regular, substantive feedback and hold office hours.
• Maintain an active program of scholarly activity and participate in service.
