University of Wisconsin–La Crosse invites applications for two 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in English starting 8/23/2027. We seek candidates in Writing Studies with emphasis in professional & technical writing, digital content & user experience, or emerging writing technologies.

The duties include teaching, advising, scholarship, and service within the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH).

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Writing Studies or related field completed by the end of the first academic year.
• Evidence of the ability to be an effective instructor.
• Evidence of clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses as assigned.
• Advise students and maintain records.
• Maintain an active program of scholarship and contribute to service.
• Hold office hours and provide regular, substantive feedback on student work.
