Job summary

Xavier University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Social Work beginning Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach at the BSW and MSW levels, develop curriculum, pursue grants, and advise students, with emphasis on equity and engaged learning.

The open-rank position requires a doctoral degree (MSW with related credentials considered) and distance teaching experience, with salary commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required.
• PhD or related doctoral degree considered; CSWE/MSW doctorates preferred.
• MSW degree from CSWE-accredited program (or equivalent) required.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Experience with distance teaching and course development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the BSW and MSW levels.
