Job summary

Xavier University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Social Work beginning Fall 2027. The position is open-rank and primarily assigned to the MSW Program, with opportunities for summer teaching.

Responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, advising, and scholarly work. The candidate should have a doctoral degree and an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in social work preferred or related doctoral degree.
• MSW from CSWE-accredited program (or recognized via MOU) required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for motivating students from diverse backgrounds and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the BSW and MSW levels.
• Develop curriculum and programs.
• Pursue grant opportunities and engage in scholarly work.
• Advise students academically and participate in service.
• Contribute to distance teaching and online course development.
