Saginaw Valley State University seeks applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty at the assistant or associate professor level in Social Work to begin Fall 2027.

Teaching may span the BSW and MSW curricula, with undergraduate, graduate, or both tracks. Candidates should indicate teaching interests and readiness for undergraduate, graduate, or both programs, and will advise students and engage in scholarship and service.

Competenze

• MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program with licensure or eligibility.
• Two years of full-time post-MSW practice and teaching experience required.
• Doctorate in social work or related field or coursework toward doctorate.

Mansioni

• Teach undergraduate BSW and/or graduate MSW courses as assigned.
• Develop and deliver instruction across practice, policy, human behavior, and practicum education.
• Maintain currency in course content and instructional methods per CSWE EPAS standards.
• Advise assigned BSW or MSW students on curriculum planning, practicum readiness, and professional development.
• Maintain an active program of scholarship, research, or creative activity.
• Serve on department, college, and university committees as assigned.
• Support program accreditation, assessment, and curriculum development activities.
• Engage in service to the social work profession and community.
• Use of technology and learning management systems is expected.
• Travel for professional or community engagement may be required.
