Saginaw Valley State University seeks applicants for full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions in the Department of Social Work & Youth Services. The appointees will teach BSW courses and/or MSW courses, advise students, and contribute to scholarship and service.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Michigan (LMSW).
• Two years of full-time post-MSW practice as a social worker and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate BSW and/or graduate MSW courses as assigned.
• Develop and deliver instruction across practice, policy, human behavior, and practicum education.
• Advise assigned BSW or MSW students on curriculum planning and professional development.
• Maintain currency in course content and instructional methods aligned with CSWE EPAS standards.
• Maintain an active program of scholarship, research, or creative activity.
• Engage in service to the department, college, university, and community.
