Job summary

The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the QQPM program within Educational Psychology, starting August 2027. A doctorate in psychometrics, measurement, quantitative methods, or a related field is required to be completed by August 2027.

We seek candidates with strong methodological training, a track record of research productivity, and potential for excellent teaching

Qualifications

• Doctorate in psychometrics, measurement, quantitative methods, or a related field conferred no later than August 2027.
• Research productivity and an emerging publication record.
• Potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students.
• Expertise or interest in modern psychometrics (e.g., testing, fairness, equating, CAT, IRT/SEM, multilevel modeling).

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining an on-going program of methodological research leading to publications in major journals.
• Collaborating with faculty across the College of Education and Human Sciences, UNL, and the University of Nebraska system on methodological issues.
• Effective instruction, student research advisement, and student mentoring.
• Participating in faculty governance.
• Participating in and/or preparing applications for external funding.
• Providing leadership and service at local, state, and national levels.
