Qualifications

  • PhD in Instructional Technology or related field
  • Teach courses and mentor students in educational technology
  • Technical ability to develop learning materials
  • Ability to mentor master’s and doctoral students in the design, development, and research of learning materials
  • Established or emerging research publication record
  • Experience teaching in varied contexts (K-12, blended, online, asynchronous, synchronous, in-person)
  • Project management
  • Understanding of User Experience and Interface Design
  • Experience developing instructional products end-to-end with emerging AI tools
  • Computer programming
  • Experience developing instructional assessments

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate courses in instructional design & development, assessment, psychology, or evaluation
  • Teach undergraduate courses in educational technology
  • Advise MS and PhD students
  • Devise, carry out, and maintain a robust research agenda
  • Publish and disseminate research in peer-reviewed venues
  • Embrace and fully participate in BYU citizenship and culture
