Job summary

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in multicultural education, ESL/TESOL, or related field completed by start date.
K-12 public school teaching experience (3+ years preferred).
Demonstrated potential for research productivity.
Ability/interest to partner with local schools.
Knowledge of national trends in multicultural education and ESL/TESOL.

Responsibilities

Teach courses related to multicultural education and multilingual education at the undergraduate level, and related courses at the masters level.
Mentor undergraduate and masters students in research and teaching.
Advise masters and doctoral degree candidates.
Engage in high levels of research activity and publication.
Demonstrate leadership at the department, school, and university levels.
Fulfill committee assignments and other citizenship activities inside the university, community, and profession.
