Qualifications

• Education: A doctorate in Teacher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Teaching experience: Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in elementary education, experience preparing preservice teachers, and K-6 classroom experience.
• Scholarly promise: A scholarship and funding record commensurate with experience and demonstrated potential for excellence in research, teaching, extension, and service.
• Student support: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and support varied academic needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate elementary education courses, including MAT program.
• Recruit, advise, and mentor graduate students and serve on doctoral committees.
• Collaborate across NC State and provide service, outreach, and leadership with schools and communities.
• Engage in research, publication, grant writing, and external funding related to pre-service elementary teacher preparation.
