California State University, Long Beach invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences, Physiologist in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The position is tenured/tenure-track with responsibilities in teaching physiology and developing an externally funded research program.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in the life sciences, have postdoctoral research experience, and demonstrate a record of research productivity.

• Ph.D. in the life sciences and postdoctoral research experience are required.
• Demonstrated commitment to effective teaching of physiology courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and teach physiology courses (human, mammalian, comparative) for majors or non-majors across in-person, hybrid, and online modes.
• Develop and sustain an externally funded research program involving undergraduates and graduate students.
• Contribute to department, college, university, and professional service.
• Mentor diverse student populations and promote equitable learning environments.
