California State University, Long Beach is recruiting a tenured/tenure-track faculty member in biomechanics within the Exercise Science option. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate biomechanics courses and mentor student researchers, while advancing a funded, diverse research program.

The position emphasizes serving a diverse student population and engaging in scholarly activities with a focus on biomechanics and movement science.

Competenze

• PhD by Aug 1, 2027 or in hand at time of application.
• Demonstrated potential for undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Strong potential for biomechanics research and scholarly activity.
• Familiarity with biomechanics hardware and software is preferred.

Mansioni

• Teach undergraduate and graduate biomechanics, research methods/stats, and related electives.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research.
• Participate on master’s thesis and comprehensive exam committees.
• Provide academic advising to Exercise Science majors.
• Develop and sustain internal/external funding for research.
• Collaborate with faculty on research and manage the Movement Science Laboratory.
