Job summary

UNT Health Fort Worth is hiring an Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) in Pharmaceutical Sciences to advance toxicology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or drug metabolism/pharmacokinetics. You will lead teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum and mentor graduate students while developing extramurally funded research programs.

The position offers competitive lab start-up funding and access to strong core facilities, reporting to the Department Chair within UNT Health Fort

Qualifications

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, or related discipline.
Demonstrated track record securing extramural funding ( NIH/NSF ).
High-impact publications and evidence of independent research leadership.
Experience designing courses integrating research, clinical applications, and case studies.
Ability to mentor graduate students and contribute to graduate education.

Responsibilities

Contribute to scholarly excellence by maintaining cutting-edge research relevant to pharmacy.
Implement and improve curricula across Doctor of Pharmacy and PhD programs with emphasis on basic sciences.
Engage in service activities supporting pharmacy education and research nationwide.
