Job summary

Great Basin College in Elko, Nevada, is hiring for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track EMS faculty position. The Paramedic Instructor will educate EMS students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings, shaping the next generation of EMS providers.

Responsibilities include teaching AAS/Cert Paramedic, EMT, and AEMT courses, coordinating clinical placements, and participating in curriculum and accreditation activities within the EMS department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing paramedic.
• Eligible for Nevada Paramedic certification/licensure (licensure required upon hire).
• Prior teaching experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach AAS/Cert Paramedic programmatic, EMT, & AEMT courses.
• Provide hands-on instruction in simulation labs and clinical environments.
• Coordinate clinical placements
• Evaluate student performance and ensure achievement of learning outcomes.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and student advisement.
• Contribute to the EMS department, School of Health Sciences, and college committees.
