Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University’s School of Nursing seeks an assistant/associate professor whose teaching and scholarly work centers on community health. The role emphasizes student‑centered instruction, advising, and mentoring across undergraduate and graduate programs, while building a funded research program and contributing to accreditation efforts.

The position is a 9-month, tenure-track appointment with opportunities for remote or hybrid work in line with university policies.

Qualifications

• A PhD or DNP in nursing is required.
• Evidence of establishing and sustaining a strong research program.
• Pedagogical skills to teach in undergraduate and graduate nursing courses.
• Commitment to inclusiveness, collaboration, and diversity in alignment with the University.
• Three years of clinical experience related to nursing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction for undergrad and graduate courses.
• Provide student advising, mentoring, and recruitment.
• Engage in curriculum development and program assessment/ accreditation procedures.
• Service to the School of Nursing, college, and university, plus external professional organizations.
