Job summary

NC A&T, the School of Nursing within Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences, seeks an assistant/associate professor to teach community health and non-clinical nursing courses. You will advise students, engage in a program of scholarship with peer-reviewed publications and funding, and provide service to the School and profession.

The position is 9-month tenure-track with potential for remote/hybrid arrangements per university policies.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in nursing is preferred.
• Doctoral degree required.
• Prior teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs or credentials to meet NC Board educational requirement is required.
• Record of funded research and publications expected of rank as an Assistant Professor.

Responsibilities

• Teach community health and non-clinical nursing courses.
• Advise and coach students throughout the program.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals; pursue research funding.
• Provide service to the School of Nursing, College of Health and Human Sciences, University, and professional communities.
