Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Nursing, Tenure Track. The position supports a range of nursing courses, including pediatric nursing, with a focus on innovative teaching and diverse student populations.

The role includes service to the college and community, along with continuous professional development. The candidate must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing, possess or be eligible for a Michigan RN license, and have at least two years of clinical

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
Current, unencumbered Michigan RN license or eligibility.
Minimum of 2 years direct clinical nursing experience.
Recent experience in nursing practice or nursing education that includes Pediatric nursing.

Responsibilities

Teach Practical and Associate Degree nursing courses with didactic and clinical/lab instruction, including simulation.
Teach Pediatric Nursing and other courses for diverse patient populations.
Maintain current clinical standards and orientation to clinical settings.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, evidence-based standards and instructional practices.
Lead, advise, and support adjunct faculty to maintain quality across courses.
Assess and advise students on academic and clinical performance.
