Job summary

CT State Community College in Manchester, CT seeks an Instructional Faculty member for a 10-month, tenure-track role to teach courses in Manufacturing and related disciplines on-site. The position requires developing syllabi, updating course materials, and collaborating with students, peers, and external partners to ensure program success.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Manufacturing or related field, strong communication skills, and experience with teaching in person and online

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credit hours per academic year across courses within the assigned discipline.
• Deliver courses in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats with varied schedules.
• Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback.
• Develop curriculum and keep instructional materials up to date; participate in reviews and accreditation activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events and participate in workshops and conferences.
• Attend convocation, committees, and meetings, including evenings and weekends.
