Job summary

CT State Community College in Manchester, CT seeks an Instructor to teach 30 credit hours per academic year across courses in the assigned discipline. Courses may be offered in lecture, hybrid, and online formats, with schedules that include day and evening classes.

The position is a tenure-track, 10-month role with an anticipated Spring 2027 start. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Manufacturing or related field, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; on-site

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credit hours per academic year in the assigned discipline.
• Deliver courses in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats; day and evening classes may be scheduled.
• Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
• Develop curriculum and periodically review instructional materials; participate in program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Attend workshops, trainings, and professional conferences to maintain currency in the field.
• Attend convocation and committee meetings, evenings and weekends as required.
