Middle Tennessee State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Administration and Supervision with an Instructional Leadership concentration at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Start date: August 1, 2027.

The program offers CAEP-accredited pathways to licensure, with master's and EdS options and collaboration across concentrations. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses, mentor students, contribute to doctoral education, and

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in educational leadership, instructional leadership, educational administration, administration & supervision, or closely related field by start date.
• Two years of full-time professional leadership or administrative experience in K-12 education by start date.
• Experience with CAEP accreditation work and supervisory instruction is desirable.
• Ability to engage in research, scholarship, and publication in instructional leadership or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in the Instructional Leadership Program with excellence in instruction and online teaching.
• Advise and mentor graduate students and oversee embedded internship experiences.
• Contribute to doctoral education through dissertation committee service and possible chairing.
• Establish a sustained program of scholarly activity including research, publications, and external funding.
• Assist in program development, accreditation, recruitment, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop and sustain collaborations with local/regional partners and professional organizations.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service and meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge of research and practices in instructional leadership.
