Texas A&M University Texarkana invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate/Full Professor of Electrical Engineering. The appointment focuses on robotics, control systems, and computer engineering, with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations and industry partnerships.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in electrical/computer engineering required.
• Record of effective teaching in EE/CE courses and laboratories.
• Active research record with publications and external funding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration.
• For Associate rank: normally at least five years of service at the Assistant Professor rank or equivalent.
• For Professor rank: normally at least five years of service at the Associate Professor rank or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establish an active scholarly program involving peer-reviewed publications, external funding, and meaningful undergraduate research appropriate to the rank.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories that support the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering programs, particularly in robotics, control systems, artificial intelligence, and related engineering areas.
• Develop courses, laboratory experiences, and instructional materials supporting the 126-credit-hour curriculum.
• Assess student learning and use results to improve courses and program effectiveness.
• Advise and mentor students on academic, research, professional, and career matters.
• Contribute to curriculum development, ABET preparation, continuous improvement, and accreditation.
• Lead or support the development, safe operation, and improvement of electrical engineering teaching and research laboratories.
• Serve on division, college, and university committees.
