Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, Civil/Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Land Surveying.
• Recent related industry experience and/or experience in construction management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software packages.
• Teaching experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for students.
• Advanced communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to respond to diverse population needs.

Responsibilities

• Teaches a full range of lecture and lab courses in CNST program, including Construction Orientation, AutoCAD, and Project Management.
• Performs student learning outcomes assessment and continuous improvement.
• Prepares syllabi, assignments and course materials.
• May teach on campus or at partner high schools and contribute to program development.
• Maintains attendance records, grades and other required records.
• Advises students on academic and career issues as needed.
• Plans, evaluates and revises curricula and course content.
• Collaborates with colleagues on teaching and research issues.
