University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Dramaturgy. The successful candidate will teach dramaturgy, theatre history, and related courses at the undergraduate level while pursuing an active research/creative agenda.

Preference is given to scholars with expertise in Asian, African, or Latin American theatre and performance, and collaboration with PlayMakers Repertory Company/ Kenan Theatre Company is encouraged.

Qualifikationen

• Candidates must hold an MA/MFA or other terminal degree in Theatre, Performance Studies, Dramaturgy, or a closely related field by appointment time.
• Evidence of an active program of scholarly and/or creative research and excellence in teaching is expected.
• Preference given to research/teaching in Asia, Africa, and/or Latin America.

• Teach courses in dramaturgy, theatre history, and dramatic literature at the undergraduate level.
• Maintain an active program of scholarly and/or creative research with external contributions.
• Mentor students and collaborate with PlayMakers Repertory Company and/or Kenan Theatre Company.
