University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Department of Theatre invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theatre – Acting, to begin August 2027. The successful candidate will teach acting from introductory to advanced levels, while maintaining an active professional practice and mentoring students.

Formación

• MFA in Acting or MFA in Directing with college-level teaching experience.
• Professional acting or directing experience.
• Experience teaching acting at multiple levels.
• Evidence of a student-centered approach to teaching and mentorship.
• Evidence of continued or developing professional and/or creative activity.

Responsabilidades

• Teach acting from introductory through advanced levels, plus other courses aligned with expertise.
• Maintain an active professional/creative practice and stay engaged with evolving industry demands.
• Mentor students and support their development as artists.
• Direct one departmental production each academic year.
