Job summary

The University of Houston–Clear Lake College of Education invites applications for a 9-month, full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in its CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. The successful candidate will teach graduate CMHC courses, supervise internships, and contribute to curriculum and accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably CACREP-accredited.
• Licensed as an LPC or eligible to obtain Texas LPC licensure.
• Evidence of scholarly agenda with peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and supervision across the clinical mental health curriculum, supporting program and student needs.
• Contribute actively to curriculum design and program enhancement, ensuring alignment with research, accreditation requirements, and trends in counselor education.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable journals and present findings at conferences.
• Engage in service activities within the program, department, college, university, professional organizations, and leadership opportunities.
