The University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling in the CACREP-accredited CMHC program within the School of Health Professions. The nine-month appointment is in-person on the UT Tyler campus, with potential for tenure-track status starting Spring or Fall 2027.

Responsibilities include research, graduate teaching, supervision of CMHC internships, advising students, and service to the profession.

Formación

• Earned a doctorate in counselor education by August 2027.
• Professional experience and research in counseling and supervision.
• Evidence of university teaching and research activity.
• Strong professional counselor identity and ability to sustain a program of research.
• Texas license eligibility or licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Pursue an active scholarly research agenda.
• Teach graduate courses in counseling.
• Supervise CMHC students in internship and practicum.
• Advise counseling students.
• Provide service to the counseling profession and governance.
• Potentially coordinate the CMHC program (leadership, scheduling, accreditation reports).
• Collaborate with other psychology programs as desired.
• Maintain regular on-campus presence.
• Attend departmental meetings.
