Job summary

Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC invites applications for multiple Assistant Professor positions in Construction Management. The nine-month, tenure-track roles include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising student projects, and pursuing scholarship with external partners through the Rapid Center.

Successful candidates will engage in service, advise students, and participate in program growth as the College of Engineering expands.

Qualifications

Earned doctorate or terminal degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering, architecture, architectural engineering, or closely related field by August 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate construction management topics, including materials and methods, estimating, scheduling, project management, codes and documents, sustainability, and construction law.
Advise students and participate in extracurricular student engagement activities.
Develop a sustainable program of research and scholarship and engage with external partners through the Rapid Center.
Contribute to university and professional service with focus on student success and regional impact.
