The Department of Chemistry at MIT, in collaboration with the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor bridging chemistry and computational, machine-learning, or generative AI approaches, beginning July 1, 2027 or as soon thereafter as possible.

The successful candidate will develop frontier computational methods, apply them to molecular, materials, biomolecular, and reaction discovery, and teach in Chemistry and SCC programs.

Formación

• A Ph.D. in chemistry, computational chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, or a related discipline is required by the start of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and lead an independent research program bridging chemistry and computational methods.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Chemistry and SCC programs.
• Mentor trainees and contribute to department and SCC communities.
