The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor positions in the Department of Chemical Engineering in Cambridge, MA, starting July 1, 2027, or mutually agreed date thereafter. Appointments at the assistant professor level; exceptional cases may be eligible for untenured associate or senior appointments.

Ph.D. in chemical engineering or related field by start of employment is required.

Qualifications

• Strong candidates in chemical engineering fields encouraged
• Teaching and research duties include developing course materials and service to MIT

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
• Advise students and supervise research
• Develop course materials for graduate and undergraduate levels
• Engage in scholarly research and service to MIT and the profession
