Texas A&M University Texarkana invites applications for a full-time, nine-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to ABET accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Earned Ph.D. in civil engineering with Geotechnical, Geoenvironmental, or EWRE focus.
• Evidence of effective teaching in civil engineering courses and laboratories.
• Active research, scholarly publications, and external funding experience or potential.

Responsibilities

• Teach civil engineering courses and labs; develop courses.
• Advise students on academics and careers; mentor undergraduates and graduates.
• Engage in research, publish findings, seek external funding.
• Participate in ABET assessment, accreditation activities, and committees.
• Engage with industry and research partners; facilitate outreach and partnerships.
• Support recruitment efforts to attract talented civil engineering students.
