Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a Tenure-Track Faculty member in Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Malcolm X College. The candidate will teach AI, cybersecurity, and core CIS courses while developing curriculum and mentoring students.

Responsibilities include hands-on labs, program development, and active participation in college initiatives. A Master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience are required; industry certifications are a plus. Chicago residency may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, AI, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in AI, cybersecurity, or CIS.
• Programming in Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach CIS courses including AI fundamentals, cybersecurity, systems analysis, databases, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Develop and update curriculum to align with industry standards and modern frameworks.
• Mentor students and support CIS program growth; participate in department and college initiatives.
