Job summary

Montana Technological University’s Chemistry Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level, with expertise in inorganic, computational, biochemistry, and/or analytical chemistry.

The successful candidate will develop and teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, advise and mentor students, conduct sponsored research, and participate in departmental activities while building an externally funded program aligned with

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree by Aug 16, 2027 in chemistry or closely related field with emphasis in inorganic chemistry, computational chemistry, biochemistry, and/or analytical chemistry.
• Experience developing sponsored research and externally funded programs.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in multiple subfields.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor students and collaborate across disciplines.
• Postdoctoral experience and university teaching experience are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
