Job summary

The Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is seeking an Assistant Professor for a 9-month tenure-track appointment in Biology with a focus on science education. The start date is 8/23/2027, and the successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and advise students.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Science Education, Biology or related field by end of first academic year.
• Evidence of the ability to be an effective instructor.
• Evidence of clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses (if applicable).
• Advise students and provide regular, substantive feedback.
• Maintain currency in the content area and engage in scholarship.
• Provide service to department, college, university, and professional organizations.
