Qualifications

• Terminal degree from an accredited university in an appropriate discipline.
• Demonstrated training in ethics consultation.
• Commitment to the mission of Mercer University School of Medicine.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Research and teaching in the medical humanities.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the medical curriculum across pre-clinical and clerkship years.
• Engage in Team Based Learning and Problem Based Learning.
• Participate in faculty development in ethics education and grand rounds.
• Sponsor student projects and research in bioethics and medical humanities.
• Collaborate with law, nursing, pharmacy, and theology schools; contribute to inter-disciplinary initiatives.
