Job summary

Mercer University School of Medicine seeks a qualified educator to join the Bioethics & Medical Humanities department on a tenure-track, 12-month Macon, GA campus. The role involves teaching across the medical curriculum with emphasis on ethics, professionalism, and humanities integration.

The candidate will collaborate with the Chair and colleagues to develop learning resources, lead large-group sessions, and contribute to research and program development across multiple campuses, including

Qualifications

• PhD, JD, DBe, MD, DO or equivalent terminal degree from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated training in ethics education or consultation.
• Commitment to Mercer University School of Medicine's mission.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach across pre-clinical and clerkship years, developing an integrated ethics curriculum.
• Collaborate with the Chair and department faculty to implement pedagogy.
• Participate in faculty development, grand rounds, student mentoring, and interprofessional activities.
• Contribute to a four-year certificate program in bioethics and medical humanities.
