Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse invites applications for a 9‑month Teaching Assistant Professor position in Exercise & Sports Science. Start date of 8/23/2027 with potential January 2027 start.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (if applicable) and advising students. We value expertise in Clinical Exercise Physiology and a strong commitment to student success within a renewable non‑tenure track instructional role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Strong communication skills and student feedback proficiency.
• Commitment to student success and scholarly teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses relevant to Exercise & Sport Science.
• Advise students on academic and career directions within the field.
• Maintain currency in teaching content and assess student outcomes.
• Provide regular, substantive feedback on student work and hold office hours.
• Collaborate with department faculty to develop teaching strategies.
