Job summary

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Analytical Chemistry, starting 8/23/2027. The candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advise students, and maintain an active scholarly program.

We seek individuals with a strong research plan aligned to a Primarily Undergraduate Institution and a commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Chemistry or related field must be completed by end of first academic year.
• Demonstrated ability to be an effective instructor.
• Clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the department.
• Advise students on academic and career direction within the discipline.
• Maintain currency in the content area and assess student outcomes.
• Provide regular, substantive feedback and maintain appropriate records.
• Hold office hours and participate in service to department and college.
