Qualifications

• PhD in Microbiology or related field earned by end of the first academic year
• Demonstrated ability to be an effective instructor
• Clear and effective communication skills

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and advise students
• Maintain currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment
• Evaluate student work and provide regular feedback
• Maintain records and hold office hours
• Pursue an active program of scholarly activity
• Provide service to the department, college, university and professional organizations
