Posting Summary
Rutgers is a research-intensive university with state-of-the-art research core services and a strong research support infrastructure. Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP), one of the top-ranked schools of its kind in the nation, offers a unique and nurturing environment for interdisciplinary and team-based research. The Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics at Rutgers SHP is seeking multiple tenure-track faculty members with expertise in Biomedical and Health Informatics, Data Science, Health-related AI, Digital Health, or related fields. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in Health AI, applicable to aging, opioid addiction, and neurodegenerative disorders.
The primary responsibility of the tenure-track faculty is to conduct research (80-90% effort) to develop and sustain an extramurally and federally funded research program. A small portion of effort (10-20%) will be dedicated to teaching and service, including mentoring graduate students and post-docs.

Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants must hold a PhD or DSc in STEM or a health-related field, with at least 1 year of post-doctoral research training or industry experience focused on health-related informatics or AI. Rank is determined based on research experience, scholarly productivity, independence, impact and recognition at national/international levels, and history of extramural and federal funding.
