Job summary

CT State Community College in Hartford, CT invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor position starting Fall 2027. The role involves teaching up to 30 credit hours annually across lecture, hybrid, and online formats, with day and evening scheduling, on-site at 950 Main Street.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology, Human Biology, or Cell Biology, demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, and be committed to diversity and inclusive

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology, Human Biology, and/or Cell Biology or a related discipline.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Commitment to teaching and service per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 30 credit hours per academic year across lecture, hybrid, and online formats.
• Develop syllabi, reading lists, and keep courses up to date; respond to students and constituencies.
• Provide student mentoring, advising, and support; participate in program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Attend workshops, trainings, and meetings; support and participate in college events.
