Job summary

CT State Community College invites applications for an on-site Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in the Anatomy/Physiology discipline at CT State Capital, Hartford. The role requires teaching heavy loads across lecture, hybrid, and online formats and coordinating with diverse stakeholders to advance student success.

The position offers a 10-month, full-time schedule with Fall 2027 start and priority consideration for materials submitted by Sept 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology, Human Biology, and/or Cell Biology or related discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teaching thirty (30) credit hours per academic year in assigned discipline.
• Deliver courses in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats; day and evening classes possible.
• Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes and provide academic advising.
• Develop curriculum and update instructional materials; assist with program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events and participate in workshops and conferences.
• Attend convocation and commencement; participate in committees and meetings, including evenings/weekends.
• Support a diverse student body and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
• Maintain currency in the field through professional development.
• Contribute to ongoing program evaluations and quality assurance per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
