Job summary

SPORTIME is seeking an Assistant Director of Tennis to work with the Director of Tennis and the Global Tennis Department to ensure top-quality tennis programs and maximize profitability. You will supervise coaching staff, assist with recruiting, and coordinate with other site departments and staff to maintain exceptional service.

The role requires knowledge of USTA, UTR, and ITF competitive landscapes for adults and juniors, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in the commercial tennis industry.
• Knowledge of tennis pedagogy and ability to coach players of all ages and abilities.
• Experience running tennis tournaments and events.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and profitability of all tennis-related programs, services, and deliverables.
• Provide high-quality coaching and service the tennis needs of members and guests.
• Ensure communication and cooperation between the site’s tennis departments and other sites/Company departments.
• Hire, fire, train, mentor, supervise coaching staff.
• Attend and contribute to on-site and off-site tennis departmental meetings.
• Cross-promote pickleball and multi-sport divisions when appropriate.
• Help promote the site/Company by executing approved marketing initiatives.
• Assume DOT responsibilities when DOT is off-site.
