Job summary

Bimplus in the United States is seeking an experienced Tendering Manager to lead complex bids for HV electrical infrastructure, BESS and grid projects. You will own tender strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive submissions from enquiry to handover.

• The ideal candidate has significant tendering/estimating experience in power, HV infrastructure, renewables or major electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HV substations and/or BESS projects.
• Experience leading complex tender submissions.
• Excellent technical and commercial understanding.
• Strong risk, pricing and procurement skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary tender teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage several opportunities and deadlines.

• Lead supplier and subcontractor enquiry processes.
• Review pricing and ensure tender submissions are commercially robust.
• Coordinate technical and commercial clarifications.
• Manage tender programmes and submission deadlines.
• Participate in tender reviews and client meetings.
• Support negotiation through preferred-bidder stages.
• Ensure effective handover into project delivery following contract award.
• Support and mentor other members of the tendering/estimating function.

Job description

An established and rapidly growing energy infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Tendering Manager to support its expanding portfolio of major BESS, HV substation and grid infrastructure projects.

This is a senior appointment within the tendering function and would suit an experienced Tendering Manager, Senior Tendering Engineer, Senior Estimator or Proposals Manager with a strong background in HV electrical infrastructure.

The successful individual will take ownership of complex tender opportunities while helping coordinate the wider tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission and project handover.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant tendering/estimating experience within power, HV infrastructure, renewables or major electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HV substations and/or BESS projects.
• Previous experience leading complex tender submissions.
• Excellent technical and commercial understanding.
• Strong understanding of project risk, pricing and procurement.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary tender teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• The ability to manage several opportunities and competing deadlines.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience.
