Job summary

Astute's Team partners with a fast-growing construction client in renewables to recruit an Electrical Project Manager. You will own a portfolio of solar, BESS, EV charging and substation projects, plan and programme work, and take commercial and technical responsibility with subcontractor management.

The role requires strong PM skills, travel to sites, and experience with HV works. A pension and company vehicle with fuel card are provided; salary is negotiable.

Qualifications

• Must have 18th Edition electrical qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent with demonstrable experience.
• Experience on solar, BESS, EV charging, substations and HV works.
• Strong commercial project management and contractual awareness.
• Chartership is desirable.

Responsibilities

Astute's Team is partnering with a fast-growing construction company working in the renewables and power sector to recruit an Electrical Project Manager to assist with their various projects.

The strategically important Electrical Project Manager role comes with a great salary, company vehicle and fuel card.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Project Manager role

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

• Take ownership of a portfolio of works, including Solar, BESS, EV Charging and Substations projects, from start to finish.
• Programming and Planning of works.
• Take commercial and technical responsibility over your projects.
• Subcontractor management and negotiations.
• Regular CVR reporting.
• Providing managerial, commercial and technical support from planning of projects through to handover.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• 18th Edition.
• City & Guilds 2391.
• Either a certified electrician or qualified electrical engineer.
• Experience on relevant projects (solar, BESS, substation, EV charging, HV works).
• SAP either currently or previously (33kv minimum).
• Strong commercial project management experience.
• Chartership is desirable.

Personal skills

The Electrical Project Management role would suit someone who is:

• A self-starter, and ready to hit the ground running.
• Confident and experienced in running a portfolio of projects.
• Happy to travel, as this role will involve travel to sites.
