Katy ISD is seeking a part-time Temporary Worker to assist various campus teams. The role involves general labor, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physically demanding tasks in non-air-conditioned environments.

You will participate in trainings and collaborate with staff to provide dependable service while upholding safety standards. Immediate start is preferred across Katy, Texas campuses. Citizenship or work authorization is required.

Reports To: Various Supervisors

Duty Days: Varied

Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: Temporary Worker

Pay Rate: $12.00/per hour

Qualifications:

Minimum Age Requirement: 15 years old

Ability to follow instructions (written or oral)

Ability to comprehend English (verbal and written)

Work collaboratively with others

Demonstrate decision making and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated, accountable, and dependable for the job task

Safety conscious and have a conviction for any safety concerns

Ability to maintain emotional stability

Primary Purpose:

Assist other district employees with a variety of physical and mental demanding tasks. Provide excellent customer service.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs general labor duties.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Perform physically demanding tasks for an extended period of time.
• Work in non-air-conditioned environment.
• Participate in-service trainings offered by Katy ISD.

Equipment Used:

Personal computer, hand tools, ladder, hand truck, dolly, and pallet jack

Working Conditions:

Work outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, humid conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, odors, loud noises, and slippery or uneven surfaces. Continual walking and standing, frequent heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects and vehicles.
