Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching in a K-12 setting.
• North Carolina teaching license required.
• Experience mentoring or supervising student teachers preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with student teachers through meetings, planning, and communication.
• Provide supervision, formal observations, and timely feedback using rubrics.
• Maintain documentation and evaluations, including weekly and bi-weekly visits.
• Mentor student teachers and liaise with cooperating teachers and university faculty.
• Coordinate with program staff to implement the Transformational Scholars Program.
• Ensure placements align with curriculum objectives and provide needed materials.
• Communicate with stakeholders and travel to eastern NC districts.
