Job summary

Poudre School District is seeking a Counselor for a long-term substitute at Cache La Poudre Middle School in LaPorte, CO. The assignment runs ~11/19/2026–1/3/2027, covering a leave of absence for a Secondary Counselor.

The role supports academic, career, and social-emotional development within a diverse student body. The position requires a Master’s in School Counseling, a valid SSP license or TEE authorization, and a commitment to equity and inclusion, with a 100% workload and 188 workdays.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field; SSP licensure required.
• Experience working with students in a school setting.
• Ability to communicate with students, parents/guardians, staff, and community.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver a data-driven school counseling program based on the ASCA model.
• Provide individual and small group counseling; deliver classroom guidance lessons.
• Respond to student crises and refer to appropriate professionals.
• Support student transitions and educational/career planning.
• Collaborate with families and staff to develop academic and behavioral plans.
