Chicago Public Schools seeks a qualified School Counselor to join its educational leadership team. The role focuses on developing and executing a comprehensive counseling program aligned with CPS REACH, conducting needs assessments, and delivering programming across academic, personal/social, and career domains.

The position emphasizes collaboration with students, families, and staff to ensure equitable services and successful postsecondary planning, while engaging in ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in school counseling and valid ISBE PEL with School Counseling Endorsement.
• Ability to lead and implement a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Experience conducting needs assessments and data reviews.
• Experience in individual student planning and responsive services.

Responsibilities

• Create, Implement, and Evaluate a Comprehensive School Counseling Program aligned with CPS REACH Framework for School Counselors.
• Conduct Annual Needs Assessments and Data Reviews to determine and prioritize student needs.
• Implement the School Counseling Core Curriculum across classroom, classroom settings and school-wide activities.
• Provide Individual Student Planning Activities in collaboration with students, staff, and families.
• Provide Responsive Services including small groups and counseling sessions.
• Provide Indirect Student Support including referrals and partnerships.
• Provide System Support including planning, data collection, PD coordination.
• Participate in Regular Professional Development.
