Job summary

Thompson Central Park New York is seeking an organized hospitality professional to provide sales support for Travel Industry, Group and Events. You will field calls, qualify leads, build group templates, and assist with post-stay tasks and client communications.

The role involves inputting reservations, coordinating travel and events, managing rooming lists, and maintaining files. Proactive, detail-oriented candidates with strong MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years in hospitality in a similar position or transferable skill set.
• Strong attention to details and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, organized and customer service-oriented.
• Refined verbal communication and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills.
• Knowledge of Opera, Cvent and Hyatt systems preferred but not mandatory.
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for sales focusing on Travel Industry, Group, & Events.
• Fielding phone calls and emails, assigning opportunities to correct sellers
• Qualifying leads when necessary
• Building group templates in proprietary sales system
• Post stay support – World of Hyatt points posting, commission assistance
• Entering and sending rooming lists
• Facilitate incoming group leads and manage pipeline, handle client requests, and communicate customer needs,
• Provide support for customer events as needed.
• Reservations input
• Maintain departmental files
• Coordinate logistics for sales appointments and presentations, arranging travel, restaurant reservations, catering orders, updating, and producing final schedule, preparing customer profiles, and reconfirming arrangements.
• Support with creating inhouse BEO's. print menus, draft group resumes etc.
• Processing of departmental purchase orders and invoices
• Oversee shared live documents and their inputs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2 years in hospitality in a similar position or transferable skill set

• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems required

• Able to bend, lift, push, pull and carry in excess of 25 pounds

Salary range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
