Lake County is seeking temporary road maintenance workers for December 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. Duties include snowplow operation, traffic control, equipment maintenance, and asphalt repairs.
Work hours are Monday–Friday 6:30 am–3:00 pm with additional on-call shifts during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CDL Class B with air brakes (Class A preferred), and a satisfactory driving record.
Lake County is seeking temporary road maintenance workers to work from December 1, 2026 until March 31, 2027. These positions perform a variety of maintenance and traffic tasks related to the preservation and upkeep of County highways, bridges, drainage structures, other highway features, and DOT facilities. These positions perform semi-skilled work in operating tools and highway maintenance equipment. They also perform essential snow and ice control operations and will be on a 24 hour on-call status. Must be available to work during a scheduled callout during regular hours, after hours, weekends, and holidays.
The regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am until 3:00 pm.
